KINGWOOD, Texas (May 4, 2017) – Vision Source, North America's largest independent optometric alliance, kicked off its annual member meeting, the Vision Source Exchange® 2017, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
The “Music City” event will host over 4,500 attendees; including eyecare clinicians, optometry staff, and a broad array of leading vendors. Vision Source members and staff will have the chance to experience the latest technology and test the newest products first hand, keeping them ahead of the curve. Another highlight of the conference are two keynote addresses from former Dallas Cowboys and Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman and Shark Tank investor Barbara Corcoran.
Key topics at this year’s conference include: the multimedia ‘My Vision Source Family’ advertising campaign, an overview of the Frame Dream program, the best-in-class Optical Dream solution, the practice building Essilor Experts program, leadership learning labs, and an introduction of two new state of the art private label products exclusive to Vision Source members. With an anticipated summer release, Vision Source will announce its new TruClear XD2 and SD2 progressive lenses by Essilor. During this event, Vision Source will also launch its new private label contact lenses AQUACLEAR 110 and the AQUACLEAR 110 Toric. The addition of these products to the AQUARCLEAR family of contact lenses, provides patients with high water content two-week silicone hydrogel lenses equipped with a class 1 UV blocker.
Vision Source is changing the consumers’ perception of optometry and vision care through multimedia campaigns and collaborative partnerships with integrated healthcare organizations nationwide. The landmark ‘My Vision Source Family’ campaign debuted in six markets nationwide. A combined national audience of over 100 million people have interacted with targeted digital ads, television airings, and radio spots that support this multimedia campaign. The Exchange 2017 will also serve as the launching pad for new products from several attending vendors, including Bausch & Lomb’s ULTRA for Astigmatism product. In addition, there will be a healthcare panel discussion featuring Jeff Butler, founder & CEO of Privia Health and Jon M. Foster, president of American Group of Nashville, Tennessee-based Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).
Vision Source continues to build upon its legacy of enabling optometrists to reach their full potential. The Exchange helps Vision Source members add value to their practice by offering free continuing education (CE) courses and custom practice building solutions. The event gives members a platform as leaders in the industry, teaching them how to create relationships with leading medical groups and integrated healthcare organizations. Through networking, general sessions and CE courses, members will be better equipped to prosper in a changing environment.
“For over 26 years we have always put our members first,” said Jim Greenwood, President and CEO of Vision Source. “The Exchange helps us celebrate them and their successes, while communicating our future plans that are designed to further distance our members from their competition. Vision Source members inspire us to strive for success while showing potential members what success looks like for the independent optometrist in the years to come.”
“As we continue to break registration records at this year’s annual meeting, I am reminded of our mission and commitment to provide our members with solutions based tools for success,” commented Dr. Glenn Ellisor, OD, Founder and Executive Chairman of Vision Source. “With each eye care professional registered for this event, Vision Source continues to push the needle for the independent optometrist.
