CIO 100 | Vision Source Named Winner for Innovative Technology

Vision Source honored among the winners for the 29th annual CIO 100 Awards. With over 500 nominations in 2016, the CIO 100 is a highly sought after prize. Winners of the CIO 100 Awards honors showcase flexibility, commitment, and advancement. Under the guidance of Satish Dave, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Vision Source has created business value through the innovative application of technology. American Marketing Association Houston | Marketer of the Year Finalist

The Marketer of the Year award is American Marketing Association Houston's annual program honoring exceptional marketing work by Houston-area companies, organizations and institutions. In 2016, Vision Source was showcased as a finalist in the Healthcare division.

Vision Monday | 2016 Most Influential Women in Optical

Several Vision Source® members received recognition as the Most Influential Women in Optical, published on July 18, 2016 in Vision Monday:

  • Crystal Brimer, OD,  of Wilmington, NC with a special focus in contact lenses and dry eye disease, was honored in the Executive Suite.
  • Ellen Weiss, OD, of Omaha, NE, is the president of VOSH International and Nebraska VOSH, was honored in the Executive Suite category.  
  • Donna Mikulecky, of Kingwood, TX, supports 160 Vision Source® Administrators, was awarded within the Executive Suite.
  • Amanda Lee, OD, of Myrtle Beach, SC, leads a group of 30 member practices in coastal South Carolina, was honored as an Innovator. 
  • Jana Noble, of Kingwood, TX, uses proprietary software to visualize the demographic and competitve landscape to ad in strategic decisions making, received the Innovator award as well.

Vision Monday’s 2015 Top 50 List | Vision Source Ranks Second

Vision Source has achieved the second highest ranking in Vision Monday’s exclusive listing of the Top 50 U.S Optical Retailers, published on May 16, 2016. The Vision Monday annual report highlights the industry’s leading organizations. Vision Source appeared for the third year in a row on this list with a collective $2.51 billion in  members’ revenues boasting 3,262 locations in the 2016 calendar year. Luxottica Retail placed number one at $2.53 billion and Wal-Mart Stores placed third on the list. Vision Source’s continued participation in this year’s survey further recognizes and celebrates the collective success of the independent optometrists who comprise its membership. Vision Monday | 2015 Most Influential Women in Optical

Several Vision Source® members received recognition as the Most Influential Women in Optical, published on July 20, 2015 in Vision Monday:

  • Donna J. Mikulecky, of Kingwood, TX, supports 160 Vision Source® Administrators, was awarded within the Executive Suite.
  • Tonya Reynoldson, OD, of Waverly, TN, was awarded within the Executive Suite for her work with River Valley Eye Clinic.  
  • Courtney Dryer, OD, of Charlotte, NC, who is also on the executive team for NewGradOptometry.com, was recognized as a Rising Star.
  • Jennifer DaQuano, of Charlotte, NC, serves as the optical manager for Vision Source® STudio 20/20, was recognized as a Mentor.

Vision Monday | 2014 Most Influential Women in Optical

Several Vision Source® members received recognition as the Most Influential Women in Optical, published on Dec. 15, 2014 in Vision Monday:

  • April Jasper, OD, FAAO, of West Palm Beach, Fla., who was recently appointed as the Benedict Professor at University of Houston College of Optometry, was honored in the Executive Suite.
  • Katie Gilbert Spear, OD, MPH, of Pensacola, Fla.
  • Lauren Joy Stone, OD, of Newport, Tenn., who is also a Captain in the Tennessee Air National Guard, and Gina Wesley, OD, MS, FAAO, of Medina, Minn., were recognized as Rising Stars.
  • Heather Suggitt, of Kingwood, Tx, was also recognized as a Rising Star as Vision Source® social media and public relations manager.

American Academy of Optometry | Diplomates & Fellows

At the American Academy of Optometry meeting in Denver in November, several Vision Source® members achieved recognition. Jason Jedlicka, OD, FAAO, FSLS, of Jordan, Minn., became a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies section.The following were inducted as 2014 Fellows:

  • Keirsten Eagles, OD, of Silverton, Ore.

Optometry Giving Sight | Bronze Award Winner

We are proud to share with all the employees and customers of Vision Source that we have been recognized with a World Sight Day Challenge Bronze. Our company feels proud for what we’ve done to help people in the developing world also have access to vision care services.  We will again participate in the 2014 World Sight Day Challenge throughout September and October as one way we show corporate social responsibility.

In 2012, Five Vision Source doctors were among the 20 inducted as board certified Fellows of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

eyecare BUSINESS and Signet Research, Inc., presented Vision Source with a Certificate of Marketing Effectiveness for its superior print advertising effectiveness as evidenced by direct reader responses to the Signet Research AdProbe study in their February and April 2013 issues.

Contemporary Graphic Solutions | Innovations in Marketing Excellence 

Contemporary Graphic Solutions also awarded Vision Source with a plaque for 2013 Innovations in Marketing Excellence.

ContactLens Spectrum | Certificate of Advertising Effectiveness

Contact Lens Spectrum and Signet Research, Inc., presented Vision Source with a 2013 Certificate of Marketing Effectiveness for its superior print advertising effectiveness as evidenced by direct reader responses to the Signet Research AdProbe study.
